These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the NY Notary mobile application and website (the "Service"), operated by NY Notary ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service Description
NY Notary connects individuals seeking notarization services with a New York State Licensed Notary Public. Notarization sessions are conducted remotely via secure video call. Customers may be located anywhere in the United States.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
3. Scheduling and Sessions
After submitting a request, a licensed notary will contact you within one (1) business day to schedule your remote session. Sessions are conducted via video call. You must present valid, government-issued photo identification during the session.
4. Fees and Payment
The fee for notarization services is $25.00 per notarized signature. Payment is collected at the time of service via Venmo, Cash App, or credit/debit card. All fees are non-refundable once the notarization has been performed.
5. Document Requirements
You are responsible for ensuring that the documents you submit are complete, accurate, and appropriate for notarization. We are not responsible for errors in the underlying documents. The notary's role is limited to authenticating your signature and identity.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to notarize fraudulent, forged, or illegal documents. Any such attempt will result in immediate termination of your session without refund and may be reported to appropriate authorities.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NY Notary shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the relevant session.
